Ambulance burnt at Shahbag

DHAKA: An ambulance caught fire and burnt down on Friday midnight in front of the Radio Office near Shahbag crossing in the city.

There were no reports of causalities or damage, confirmed Ramna Thana police.

The Ambulance - Dhaka Metro Ch-71-0886 of Noor Company – caught fire while returning form BIRDEM hospital after dropping a  patient.

Sub-inspector of Ramna Thana Keshob Chowdhury said that the ambulance burnt down before the fire brigade came to the spot. Police blocked traffic from Shahbag crossing to Sheraton Hotel crossing for one hour.
