DHAKA: Columnist Farhad Mazhar opined that Professor Piash Karim’s death has created an intellectual vacuum that can never be filled.

He made the comment when he expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members of Piash Karim at his Dhanmondi resident in city on Monday.
   
Farhad Mazhar said that a cessation was created in intellectual practice at media sector by the death of Dr Piash.

He also said that Piash Karim talked about progressiveness and practice of democracy.
