DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has withdrawn some 18 police personnel, including the Officer-in-Charge Golam Nabi, of Bhasantek Thana on Monday evening on charge of trying to hide an incident of murder of a youth.

Of the withdrawn, a Sub-Inspector, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors and 13 were Constables.

Pallabi Zone Assistant Commissioner of DMP Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Sources said on Thursday (October 9), local terrors lynched Nasir Hossain, 25, when he protested for teasing her sister.

No one was arrested though there was a case filed following the incident, sources added.
