COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-42 members, in separate drives, seized a trawler with 91,000 pieces of yaba tablets on Naf’s confluence in Jaliardir and sluice gate-5 area of the district on Monday night.
Sources said watching the BGB personnel some people jumped off the trawler into river water and fled the scene.
Later, BGB personnel recovered 71,600 pieces Yaba tablets from the trawler.
On the other hand, law enforcers seized 20,000 Yaba tablets from sluice gate-5 area around 10:30pm.
BGB-42 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Abujar Al Jahid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
