FENI: The High Court has granted a six months’ interim bail to Abdullah Mahmud Shiblu, councilor of ward-5 of Feni municipality, also mastermind behind the killing of Fulgazi chairman Ekramul Haque.

The bail order reached to Judge of Feni Judge Court Almir Faruki on Tuesday.

Earlier on October 1, Judges of High Court Salma Masud Choudhury and Mohammad Badruzzaman passed the order.

Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Feni Model Thana Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Ekram, who was also the president of Fulgazi upazila Awami League, was shot and burned alive in his car in broad daylight in Feni town on May 20.

Police filed charge sheeted against some 56 people including local BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Ahmed Choudhury Minar, joint secretary of Fulgazi upazila AL unit Jihad Chowdhury.
