DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for Italy on Wednesday morning to attend the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit-2014.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the premier and her entourage, left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on the way to Milan’s Malpensa International Airport around 10:00am.
Hasina will deliver speech at the Summit on 'Asia Partnership in addressing Global Matters in an Inter-connected World" on October 16.
She will discuss on different important issues of Bangladesh like climate change, millennium development goals (MDGs), disaster risk management and expanding connectivity between Asia and Europe there.
She, however, will return home on October 18.
Nevertheless, Bangladesh becomes a member of ASEM in 2012.
