DHAKA: India’s Maharashtra governor C Vidyasagar Rao welcomed the visiting Bangladeshi team on Tuesday.
The 100-member Bangladesh delegation met the governor at 12:00pm (India local time) at the governor office called Rajbhaban.
Maharashtra governor invited the team to visit the historical places of the state.
Physician Nazmul Hasan Nayeem greeted the governor with a bucket of flower on behalf of the visiting team while Dhaka University student Sabrina Rahman Archi briefed about the team and their seven-day visit, organized by India’s youth and sports ministry.
Earlier on the day, the visiting team went to the Gateway to India. They also exchanged views with a group of students of University of Mumbai.
The team also visited different historical and tourist-spots in New Delhi, Agra, Gurugaon and Kolkata.
The 100-member team includes students and teachers of several public and private universities of the country.
