DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday summoned the LGED chief engineer Wahidur Rahman for grilling over an allegation of taking illegal benefits by forging the freedom fighter certificate.
Deputy Director of the anti-graft body Farid Ahmed Patwari issued the notice that asked Wahidur Rahman to appear at ACC headquarters at 10:00am on October 23.
ACC investigation sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The allegation said Wahidur Rahman did not declare himself as a freedom fighter while joining in the job and his name was not found in the red book of Muktibarta.
Besides, there is no evidence on his taking training in any training camp or participating in the liberation war under any sector commander, it added.
