157 more BCS cadres get appointed

DHAKA: The government has decided to appoint 157 andidates of the 33rd special batch of Bangladesh Civil Service in several sectors.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order to this effect on Monday as per recommendations from Bangladesh Public Service Commission.

However, the appointments are exclusive of health, admin, police, tax, fishery, public works, livestock and education cadre positions.

Candidates elected for appointment will have to submit their joining letter to the concerned ministry within November 2.

Earlier on July 10, some 8,115 successful BCS candidates of the 33rd batch were recruited.

A total of 193,059 candidates applied for the 33rd BCS examinations, and 18,693 of them were called for an interview after they passed the preliminary and written tests.

Some 18,108 took part in the interview held from May 12 to September 9 this year.

Earlier, The Public Service Commission (PSC) published the final results of the 33rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations, recommending 8,529 successful candidates for recruitment in different government cadres.
