CHITTAGONG: A student of Chittagong University (CU) was killed and another one person injured in a road accident in Baroiar Hat area of Fatikchhari upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.

The student was identified as M Shahadat Hossain, student of Political Science Department of the university and son of one Haji Bashir of the upazila.

Sources said that the motorcycle carrying the duo turned turtle in Baroiar Hat area in the afternoon, leaving them injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where on duty doctor declared Shahadat dead.

CMCH police outpost Nayek Abul Bashar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured was admitted to CMCH, he added.
