CHITTAGONG: A fire broke out at a plastic godown in Batali Mor area of Enayet Bazar on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of fire, taken place at 2:00pm, could not be known immediately.

However, on information, two fire fighting units of Nandan Kanon Fire Service and Civil Defense rushed in and brought the blaze under control after about an hour frantic effort.

Senior fire service officer Shawkat Ali Joarder said that no causality was reported in the fire.

He added that some goods of plastic worth Tk 100,000 were gutted in the incident, the godown owner claimed.
