DHAKA: A youth was killed as a truck ran over him on Green Road of the city early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Allauddin, 25, an employee of RC Cola Company, son of Hashem Mian of Chauddagram upazila of Comilla district.

A rashly driven truck hit the youth from behind at 11:30pm Tuesday while crossing the road, leaving him seriously injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead at 12:30am on Wednesday.

Dhanmondi Thana Sub-Inspector Khairul Bashar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
