DHAKA: A 5-member defence lawyers team led by Shishir Monir met death convict Jamaat leader Muhammad Kamaruzzamn at Dhaka Central Jail for some important advice on the case on Thursday morning.
The other members of the team are- advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, SC lawyer Barrister Ehsan A Shiddique, Barrister Nazib Momen and advocate Mashiul Alam.
The lawyers, who entered the prison around 10:00am, however, stayed for about half an hour, sources added.
Earlier on Wednesday the central jail authorities allowed the lawyers to meet with Kamruzzaman in response to an application to the senior Jail Super.
The prayer was submitted by advocate Gazi MH Tamin of ‘Consulta Jury Chamber’ in the evening.
