Ex-RAB official Rana denied bail

NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court on Sunday denied the bail petition to former Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) commander and RAB-11 Special Crime Division Company captain MM Rana in connection with gruesome Narayanganj seven-murder case.

Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Mohiuddin denied the bail.

Earlier, the Supreme Court lawyer Mohammad Ferdous Ashraf filed a bail petition for one of the top accused of the case MM Rana.

Rana, on the day, put his depositions before the court under 164-section regarding his alleged involvement in the killing incident.

A total of 13 RAB personnel had already given their depositions before the court in this regard.

The alleged RAB members are kept in Narayanganj, Kashimpur and Dhaka Central Jail.
