Khustia: Three minor boys drowned in an abandoned well in Barkhada village of Sadar upazila of the district Tuesday morning, police says.

District additional superintendent of police Abu Bakkar Sikkidque told banglanews that the three boys went missing since Tuesday morning. One of the boys’ fathers found them inside the well while watering the tobacco field at 5:00pm.

Later locals recovered the bodies.

The deceased were Shakil, 5, son of Majibor of the area, Liton, 5, and Tarun,.

Locals said the boys went to collect lotus in the well and drowned.
