CHITTAGONG: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday morning reached the port city to lay the foundation stone of a new flyover and participate in a program arranged by Bangladesh Army.

A special helicopter, carrying the premier, landed at Chittagong cantonment around 10:15am.

Additional Commissioner (administration, finance & traffic) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) AKM Shahidur Rahman told banglanews that the premier will inaugurate the national award giving ceremony to units 34, 36 and 38 of East Bengal Regiment.

Later, she will lay the foundation stone of Muradpur flyover around 1:30pm, he added.
