RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: Police have detained 15 more persons on suspicion of their involvement in the killing of Rajshahi University’s sociology department teacher Dr AKM Safiul Islam.

Police held them in several drives conducted in Rajshahi city early Monday.

Motihar Thana Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that several teams of city police forces, Detective Branch (DB) of police and Motihar Thana police are active in finding out the murderers.

They have nabbed 15 including 5 students from different areas of the city, he added.

Earlier on Sunday night, RU registrar professor Entajul Haque filed a case. But no one has been shown arrested in the case.
