HABIGANJ: Two youths were killed in a road accident in Ratanpur village under Madabpur upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Kaptan Mian, 25, son of Mafiz Al, and Mohsin Mian, 26, son of Onu Mian. Both hailed from Kandura village of Nasirnagr upazila of Brahmanbaria district.

The youths, riding battery-run easy bike, were on way to Ratanpur from Madabpur while Kaptan was behind the wheel and Mohsin was the passenger.

On arrival in front of Al-Amin Hotel in Ratanpur area, a pick-up van (Jessore-Ta 112225) of Saheb Ali Transport hit the easy bike from behind, killing the duo on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and seized the pick-up while its drive fled the scene.

Madabpur Thana Officer-In-Charge Abdul Basit confirmed the matter to banglanews.
