DHAKA: Two more warships have been added to the Bangladesh Navy fleet.

Narayanganj Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited made the duo landing craft tank (LCT). They have handed over the warships to the Navy on Tuesday.

Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Muhammad Farid Habib attended the handover program as the chief guest.

Narayanganj Dockyard works under direction of Bangladesh Navy, started making the warships on December 17, 2013.

The two warships, which took 10 months to be made, will be used for reducing crimes and to rescue victims at sea territory apart from regular operations.

Narayanganj Dockyard had also made high speed petrol boat for Bangladesh Coast Guard earlier.
