NEW YORK: The Foreign Relations Committee of US Senate on Tuesday finalized the appointment of Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat as the new US Ambassador to Dhaka.

Later, the decision was published in the Senate Gazette Executive Calendar. Senate Foreign Relations Committee sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Bernicat, who was the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Human Resources at the Department of State, will replace Dan W Mozena, who is going to complete his three-year tenure in Bangladesh.
