BRAHMANBARIA: Two people were killed and four others injured as two passenger buses collided head-on in Kuttapara intersection under Sarail upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Ayet Ali, 30, and Zahir Mia, 50, hailed from Kishoreganj district.

Police sources said two passenger busses collided head-on in the area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 5:15pm, leaving a bus helper Ayet and passenger Zahir dead on the spot and four others injured.

Two of the injured were rushed to Sarail Upazila Health Complex.

Sergeant of Khatihata Highway Police Outpost Mohammad Abdun Noor confirmed the matter to banglanews.
