NARAYANGANJ: A four-member panel experts of Padma Multipurpose Bridge, led by Professor Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury, also Vice Chancellor of University of Asia-Pacific, visited Bashundhara Cement Factory here on Saturday.
Praising the use of cutting-edge technology in the production of Bashundhara Cement, the panel experts called upon the organization to maintain the quality.
The other three members of the panel expert team are Professor Emeritus of BRAC University Dr Ainoon Nishat, Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Professor Dr M Feroze Ahmed and Bangladesh Bridge Authority Supervisor Engineer Shafiqul Islam.
The experts visited the laboratory, various production sectors and machineries of the factory at the east bank of the Shitlakkhya River.
High ups of Bashundhara Group (BG), one of the leading business conglomerates of the country, received the delegation in the morning.
Later, they highlighted the unique qualities of Bashundhara Cement, its production procedure, machineries used in production, raw materials, quality controlling labs and other important sectors related to cement production.
The high ups also replied the queries of the visiting experts. They also explained why people should use Bashundhara Cement.
Later, Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury said journalists that Bashundhara uses modern technologies in cement production, hoping that the organization will retain the level of quality they touched.
Deputy managing director of Bashundhara Cement factory Engineer Mahbub-uz-Zaman, Bashundhar Group Adviser Major General (retd) Mahbub Haider Khan, Head of HR and Adviser (Public Relations) Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Khandaker Abdul Wahed, Madanganj plant in-charge Engineer AKM Serajul Haque, Mangla in-charge of BG Engineer Nabarun Kumar Saha, Assistant General Manager (technical support) Engineer Saroj Kumar Barua, Manager (QC) Mohabbat Ali Chowdhury and Head of Director (Electrical) Lakshman Kumar Dey were among others present.
