LALMONIRHAT: A youth was crushed under the wheels of a train at Dhabalsuti of Patgram upazila of the district early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nurnabi Bakul, 21, son of Sirajul Islam, hailed from Madhya Islampur village of the upazila.
Sources told banglanews that the victim was found dead on Burimari-Lalmonirhat railway on Saturday morning.
Burimari land port rail station master Nazrul Islam said that the youth might fall inadvertently from Lalmonirhat-bound Karatoa Express in the area.
Later, he was crushed under the wheels of the train, the railway official added.
Regarding the matter, Lalmonirhat GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge Golam Mustafa said, on information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
However, an unnatural death case has already been filed in this connection, he added.
With this death, so far three youths were killed in separate train accidents in the country on Saturday.
Earlier, a youth, identified as Gopen Ghosh, 30, son of Gopal Ghosh, residing in Kumudbati village of Naldanga upazila, was found dead in Natore after being crushed under a train’s wheel near Naldanga Rail Station at 8:30am on Saturday.
On the other hand, another unidentified youth, aged about 25, also died at that time in Dhaka in a train accident.
