KUSHTIA: Two persons including a woman were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Ranakharia area under Mirpur upazila on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Shajahan Pramanik, 55 and Farida Khatun, 45.

Police sources said that a rashly driven truck turned turtle as its driver lost his control and rammed into a passenger van in the area around 1:30pm, leaving two persons dead on the spot and two others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Kushtia General Hospital.

Mirpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Kazi Jalal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
