DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreath at the portrait of him in city’s Dhanmondi area on Sunday morning.

The premier arrived at Bangabandhu Bhaban on Dhanmondi Road No. 32 at 8:40am.

Later, as the president of ruling Awami League, the PM along with top leaders of the party also paid homage to Bangabandhu. Leaders of associate organizations of Awami League were also present during the time.

When the premier left the Dhanmondi no. 32, officials concerned opened the road in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum to the public for paying tribute to Bangabandhu.

Apart from Awami League and its front organizations, different social and cultural organizations place floral wreaths to the portrait of father of the nation.
