8 robbers-arms smugglers held in city

DHAKA: Law enforcers, in separate drives, detained four arms smugglers and four robbers from different places of the capital on Saturday night.

During the drives, Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) also seized six firearms and TK45,000 from their possession.

DMP media center confirmed the matter through a SMS (Short Message Service) on Sunday morning.

According to the SMS, details will be disclosed at a press conference around 12:00 noon.
