CHITTAGONG: A Chittagong court on Sunday sent Delwar Hossain, owner of Tazreen Fashion, to jail in a fraud case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Syed Mashfiqul Islam passed the order after he appeared before the court with bail plea.

The court sources said Tazreen Fashion purchased accessories worth Tk 34.73 lakh from KDS Accessories, a sister concern of KDS Group, during 2010-2011.

Assistant Director of KDS Group Advocate Shimul Sen filed a case against Tazreen Fashion owner Delwar in 2013 after he failed to pay the due in last four years.

Delwar got four weeks bail from High Court (HC) in the case. After expiration of the bail term, HC asked him to surrender before the lower court.

Advocate Shimul Sen said earlier Delwar did not appear before court though several summon notices were issued.
