They were also asked to respond about their deeds during the clash between police and the students of IHT.

On December 3, at least 30 students and three police personnel were injured in a clash at Institute of Health Technology (IHT) in the city.

Witnesses said getting permission from the administration, the IHT students and pharmacy student association members took position in front of the hospital to press home their 10-point demands.

At one stage, the students were staging demonstration blocking the adjacent road hampering vehicular movement.

Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge Sakhawat Hossain said the students started throwing brickbats and later locked into chases and counter chases with police when the law enforcers tried to disperse them from the road.

The students claimed that the police obstructed their procession while they were returning from their position on request of their college principal Dr Kumud Ranjan Bala and locked into the clash, leaving 33 injured.
