DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday grilled Dhaka Mill Barack Range Reserve Force commandant Mizanur Rahman on charge of earning illegal wealth.

He was quizzed at ACC headquarters in city’s Segun Bagicha area for one and a half hours starting from 11:00am.

ACC deputy director M Hamidul Hasan grilled the Mill Barack commandant Mizan, also a former superintendent of police (SP) of Bagerhat, sources added.

Earlier in 2012, the ACC has started investigation against Mizan over allegation of hoarding more than Tk 100 crore.

Sources said Mizan is the owner of three fertilizer factories in Matuail, Rayerbazar and Savar.

Moreover, his money is stashed away in several places, the sources added.
