DHAKA: The government is going to appoint M Shahidul Islam as new Bangladeshi Ambassador to Malaysia.

Bangladesh Embassy to Kuala Lumpur and Riyadh sources confirmed the matter.

He is scheduled to join the embassy on December 22, sources added.

Bangladesh Embassy to Kuala Lumpur sources said the decision has not been officially declared.

But, Bangladesh Embassy to Saudi Arab’s Riyadh said Shahidul Islam will be new ambassador to Malaysia and he will leave Riyadh for Malaysia by this week.

However, Saudi Arab is the largest labor market of Bangladesh and second largest for Malaysia.

So, if Shahidul will be the ambassador to Malaysia, the Bangladeshi expatiate will get proper service, sources added.
