Cold wave to sweep country last of December

DHAKA: Cold wave likely to sweep the country in last quarter of December.

Weather forecast said though day temperature may remain unchanged but the night temperature may fall from one to two degree across the country.

The temperature will fall more if cold wave continues, the forecast added.

Country’s lowest temperature was recorded 12.1 degree Celsius at Sreemangal on Tuesday. The temperature may fall more since after December 20.

According to the meteorology department, temperature in Dhaka is likely to be decreased to 12 degree Celsius. It may also be decreased in other parts of the country.

Diseases like diarrhea and pneumonia may spread due to the cold temperature.

The agriculture department warned that the lower temperature may also hamper the vegetable productions in the country.
