PM Hasina congratulates Shinzo Abe

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Shinzo Abe on his reelection as the Prime Minister of Japan following the resounding victory in the Lower House election of December 2014.

“I am most delighted to convey to you on behalf of the people and the Government of Bangladesh heartiest congratulations and warmest greetings on your reelection,” Hasina said in her letter to Abe.

The premier lauded Shinzo Abe saying “the emphatic victory of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party bears the testimony to the dedicated services you have rendered to your country over the years. It is also a reflection of the trust and confidence that the people of Japan have reposed on your dynamic and visionary leadership”.

In a warm letter to Abe, Hasina also hoped that under Shinzo’s able stewardship, Japan will continue to prosper and play a constructive role in global affairs.

The existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Japan will be further strengthened and broadened through our shared endeavors in the days to come, added Hasina.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family, good health, long life and happiness and the friendly people of Japan, peace, progress and prosperity” the PM added.
