DHAKA: Miscreants blasted two cocktails in Shahjadpur area of the city on Friday noon.

Confirming the matter Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan Thana Firoz Kabir said, they also detained two persons from the spot.

He said a group of 10/15 people brought out a procession in the area supporting the blockade of BNP led 20-party alliance and blasted the cocktails.

They also torched a bus in the area around 12:30pm, the OC added. Being informed, police chased the blockaders and detained two of them.

Earlier, BNP chief Khaleda Zia had called blockade from Tuesday after being failed to come out of her office on January 5 to join a scheduled rally of 20-party alliance in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan office to mark “Democracy Killing Day”.
