THAKURGAON: A person was chopped to death by his younger brother over family feud in Jugihar village under Baliadanga upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

The ill-fated man was identified as Hena, 40, son of Abdul Gafur and resident of the area.

Locals said that there was a long standing land dispute between Hena and Zia, two brothers.

They both locked into an altercation in the afternoon. At one stage Zia chopped his elder brother dead in the area around 5:00pm.

On information, police rushed to the spot and held Zia in this connection.

Police, recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Baliadanga Thana Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
