DHAKA: State minister for home affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the government will do everything necessary to prevent the ongoing nationwide violence in the name of blockade, hartal.

He made the statement Thursday night while talking to journalists after visiting the burn victims of recent violence at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in the capital.

The junior minister, however, added that stern action will be taken against the criminals involved in sabotages across the country.

Expressing hope of quick end of the present condition, he moreover said that nothing can prevent the government from taking steps against those who are creating anarchy by hurling cocktails and petrol bombs on vehicles.

Earlier, according to sources, the minister spoke with Masum, Peyar Ali, Saiful, Siddikur Rahman and Amullo Barman, the victims of recent violence and inquired about their health.
