DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the responsibility of medical treatment for SSC examinee Shahriar Hridoy and executive magistrate Abdul Quader Mia, who sustained injuries in bomb explosions in Feni during the countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP.

Sheikh Hasina ordered the director of her office Dr Zulfiqar Lenin to take necessary initiatives to ensure their better treatment.

The premier also asked the authorities concerned to send them abroad for better medical treatment if needed.

PM's deputy press secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday.

However, both the injured are now undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area.

Earlier on Sunday, the PM also took the responsibility of Minhajul Islam Anik, another injured student in Feni.

She also directed the authorities concerned to send Anik abroad for better treatment.

However, executive magistrate Abdul Qauder Mia sustained injuries in a crude bomb attack by miscreants in Feni district town around 9:00pm on January 9.

The magistrate was on his way to Dhaka-Chittagong Highway to perform his duty with the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

On the other hand, Hridoy and his classmate Anik, students of Feni Government Pilot High School, suffered injuries when blockaders hurled a crude bomb in Khejur Chattar area in Feni town on January 5 around 4:45pm on their way back home riding on a rickshaw from their private tutor's house.
