NARAYANGANJ: A couple was burnt when a fire broke out at their tin-shed house adjacent to Rail Gate area in Fatulla upazila on Tuesday morning.

The victims are Kamal, 35, and Liza, who is also the second wife of the man.

Following the fire incident, the man’s first wife Nurun Nahar rescued them and took to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital around 8:30am.

Kamal sustained burn injuries on his forehand, hands and belly while Liza sustained injuries on several parts of the body including her legs.

However, the couple could not give specific information on the origin of the fire saying the might have been begun from either gas pipeline or electric board of the house.
