DHAKA: The ‘gayenaba janaza’ of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of former president Ziaur Rahman and BNP chief Khaleda Zia, was held on Tuesday in different places of the country.
Local units of BNP organized the ‘gayebana janaza’, a funeral prayer, as a part of the BNP central committee program at 10:30am on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, a statement, signed by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, announced the program of the prayer to be held outside Dhaka city.
The local units of BNP and its associated organizations arranged the prayer in their respective areas across the country.
However, Koko’s janaza is scheduled to be held in Baitul Mokarram National Mosque in city after Asar prayer.
