MYMENSINGH: A private university student was stabbed to death near his home in Gohailkandi Road area of the district town on Monday night.

The victim was identified as Antar, 24, a first year student of the city’s East West University, son of Abdul Malek of the area.

Mymensingh Kotwali Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Nur Mohammad confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Nur said that miscreants stabbed at the different places on Antar’s body in the area around 8:00pm, leaving him critically injured.

Antar was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to death around 11:00pm, the SI added.

Motives behind the killing could be known.
