NARYANGANJ: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Tiprodi area under Sonargaon upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Titu, son of Abdul Sattar and Sujan Mia, residents of the area.

Police sources said that a rashly driven covered van rammed into a motorcycle in the area on Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 5:00pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

On information, police rushed to the spot and seized the truck but could not nab the driver as he fled the scene immediately after the mishap.

Kanchpur Highway Police Sub-Inspector Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
