BARISAL: At least two people were killed and three other injured in different road accidents in Agailjhara upazila of the district Saturday afternoon.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Tapos Dhalo, 35, son of one Atal Dhali, hailed from Jobarpar area of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Agailjhara Thana Monirul Islam told banglanews that two motorcycles collided at Jobarpar area of the upazila, leaving two motorcyclists dead on the spot.

Meanwhile, three people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Rajihar-Basail road of the upazila.

Of the injured, who were admitted to a local hospital, Nitai Das was transferred to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital of Barisal, he added.
