All were smiling throughout journey

FROM SHARJAH: After overcoming the brief hassle at Hajrat Shahjalal International Airport of Dhaka, I, finally, boarded the Air Arabian aircraft G-9514 which took off just at right time.

As soon as I boarded along with about two hundred other passengers who were going to Sharjah for employment mostly as workers, the cabin crew of the Air Arabia flight welcomed us in a very sweet voice.

There was no mismanagement or any kind of ignoring attitude from the cabin staff. They started treating us like VIP passengers throughout the time.

The male cabin crew requested all the passengers to stop all kinds of electronic devices before start of the plane though many of us continued cell phone contacts probably on the reason of home sickness as well as their mental condition at the time of leaving behind the kith and kin.

But as soon as the plane made take off the passengers mostly burst into tears due to the pain of leaving the homeland as well as the relatives. But their pain was soon had gone away as the cabin staff of Air Arabia sounded them affectionate words.

The prevailing uneasiness due to leaving the country for in an uncertainty was fading away from the faces of the passengers who were destined to work in different areas around Sharjah.

Actually it was made possible due to the friendly dealings of the staff of the aircraft which started its operations in Bangladesh in 2007.

The Sharjah based airliner Air Arabia, practically carry passengers of various professions from Bangladesh enroute to the Middle Eastern countries. The Bangladeshi passengers who are mostly workers get the soothing behavior of Air Arabia staff.

It was learnt during journey that the airliner has also bases in Egypt and Turkey.

The passengers after alighting at Sharjah airport will go to several places through connecting flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Jebel Ali.

Air Arabia is considered as the most low-cost carrier in Mid East and East Africa. The passengers on board were all very much satisfied with the dealings of the cabin crew.

This airliner was award-winner for rendering services at a very low cost. For this recognition, the civil aviation authority Al Ras Al Khaimah of UAE has chosen it as their selected airliner. Through the agreements the civil aviation authority of UAE has helped Air Arabia connect more destinations.

The duty-free online shopping outlet in the neat and clean airbus is known as ‘sky mall’. The online café in the aircraft also provides varieties of food items.

You can have your breakfast from three dollars to six dollars and also lunch facilities at three and half dollars to ten dollars. At the time of departure we were provided with delicious ‘chicken biriani’ along with coke and ‘rosgolla’.

When the plane was flying the mental sufferings of passengers vanished rather they all started gossiping among themselves.

I was also gossiping with the co-passengers and then Mumbai city and the Arabian Sea were surfaced on the screen. We were proceeding onward by enjoying the famous and important Harmuz strait that has connected Persian Gulf with Oman gulf.

The aircraft G-9514 touched Sharjah airport at local time 2.30noon.

The cabin staff requested all the passengers to alight quietly. At the time of leaving the aircraft the cabin crews also smiled sweetly. All passengers got down in the airport with the request to travel in future.

The airliner also earned reputation in fare and fuel management. The main airbase of Air Arabia is at Sharjah from where 21 flights go to Dhaka and 14 flights go to Chittagong every week.

Besides, every week three flights go to Ras al-Khaimah from Dhaka and Chittagong. However, there are numerous flights to Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon. Equal number of flights return back while the cost of the round trips is very low in comparison to others.

This airliner also renders help to the backward communities. Air Arabia has set up a charitable clinic at Jallaf, which is 400 kilometers away from Sudanese capital Khartoum. They are the first in this service there. They have also charitable set ups in Sri Lanka, Nepal, India and Yemen.

When I alighted at Shrajah airport I had developed a sense of feeling that the fortune seekers, who faced lot of sufferings and hassles for getting employment abroad and arranging visa, are now leaving the craft with a sense of security and satisfaction they got during plane journey from Dhaka to Sharjah.
