HABIGANJ: A women allegedly committed suicide after killing her two kids in Boro Bakoir village under Nabiganj upazila on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Rumena Khatun, 30, wife of one Farid Uddin and their children Muslima Khatun, 7, and Musa Mia, 5.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nabiganj Thana Liakat Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Farid Uddin said he found his kids floating on nearby pond water and her wife, whom he claimed mentally sick, hanging from a tree after a frantic search in the morning.

Farid also claimed Rumena committed suicide at night after killing the kids.

However, Masuk Mia, father of Rumena, suspected her daughter and two grand children might be killed over family feud.

Officer-in-Charge of Nabiganj Thana Liakot Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews adding on information, rushing to the spot, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital for autopsy.
