DHAKA: On the sixth day of collecting nomination papers for the impending elections in Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DNCC), 1420 aspirants have bought nomination papers.

538 out of 1420 aspirants have collected nomination papers from DNCC and 882 from DSCC.

Meanwhile, the returning officers have issued show cause notice against 11 aspirants on Tuesday for breaching electoral code of conduct. So far, the returning officers showcaused 30 aspirants for violating code of conduct.

On March 18, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for DSCC and DNCC elections.

According to the announcement, probable candidates could buy and submit nomination papers till March 29.

The voting will be held on April 28.
