DHAKA: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in Saddam Market area of Jatrabari in the city Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Raman Das, 80.
Victim’s son Sumanta Das told banglanews that a wheel of a speedy bus hit Raman after being disconnected from it in the area around 9:00am, leaving him severely injured.
Later, Raman was taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.
DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
