DHAKA: At least 10 people were wounded including two with bullet injuries, in a clash that took place in Signboard area in Gazipur centering the lease of a vegetable market on Tuesday afternoon.

The injured were admitted at local hospitals first and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) at 8:30pm.

DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Joydebpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Rezaul Hasan told banglanews that people of Gazipur City Corporation councilor Mamun Mandal and Gazipur city unit Chhatra League general secretary Tawhidul Islam Dweep locked into clashes centering the lease of a vegetable market.

There were incidents of firing that left two bullet-injured, the OC added.

According to him, on information police moved to the place and took control over it.
