DHAKA: A cleaner of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was killed in a road accident in city’s Dhanmondi area on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as M Jasim, 48, son of Ali Hossain of Siddhirganj area of Narayanganj.

Sources said a speedy vehicle rammed into Jasim while he was cleaning Dhanmondi Road No 7, leaving him dead on the spot.

Dhanmondi Thana sub-inspector (SI) Alamgir Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The body was taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
