CHITTAGONG: The customs officials of Shah Amanat International Airport seized 59 gold bars weighed around 6.30kg from two separate jets of Bangladesh Biman and Oman Airlines Thursday night.

The price of the gold bars is around Tk 2.70 crore.

Assistant commissioner of airport customs Selim Reza told banglanews that they seized 54 gold bars from a jet of Bangladesh Biman around 10pm.

Earlier, the officials seized five gold bars from a passenger who just returned from Oman.
