GAZIPUR: Mother and daughter were killed and the son was injured critically in robbers’ attack at Atlora village under Sreepur Upazila of the district early Friday.

The deceased were identified as Hasuni Begum, 50, wife of late Amri Uddin of the village and their daughter Arifa Khatun, 23, class XII student of Dhaladia Degree College under Sreepur upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Sreepur Thana Abdul Mottaleb confirmed about the death of one.

However, police rushed to the spot and looking into the matter.

However, Prahladpur union parisad chairman Abu Sayeed Akand confirmed about the death of both mother and daughter.

He said the robbers stormed into the house and attacked on Hasuni, Arifa and Shahjahan that left him critically injured.

Later, Hasuni and Arifa succumbed to her death on the way to hospital.

Shahjahan had been admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Arifa’s body was kept in Gazipur Shahid Tazuddin Medical College morgue and Hasuni’s body was kept in Gazipur Hospital.
