LONDON: Bangladeshi photographer Rahul Talukdar elected ‘Conceptual Photographer of the year’ in world’s biggest photography competition ‘Sony World Photography Award 2015’.

The poster that contains the missing garments workers of Rana Plaza tragedy defeated some 87,000 photograph in the series titled ‘Faded History of the Lost’ of the competition held in London on Thursday.

Last year, Rahul, hail from Sunamganj short-listed for Student Focus Competition of ‘Sony World Photography Award’.

The senior officers of the award giving authorities gave Rahul ‘Conceptual Photographer of the year’ award and latest Sony digital imaging equipments.

After receiving the award, Rahul said “It is a big achievement for me; it is the recognition of my work.  Undoubtedly, it will inspired me to concentrate more on my work.”

The Photo will be exhibited in London Somerset House from April 24 to May 10. It would be enlisted in Annual Sony World Photography Award Winner Book.
